I’ve often laughingly said that a number of years ago God caused me to be a Christian Science nurse so I’d be a better branch church member!
At one time, I was such a hot-headed church member that I walked out fairly often on Wednesday evening testimony meetings.

Lionel Logue, a Christian Scientist, is the focus of a new film called, "The King's Speech". "...the film is based on the true story of how Lionel George Logue, the son of a South Australian hotelier was able to help the second son of the King of England overcome a debilitating speech defect." Later the son became King George VI.

It is a conviction rooted so deeply in church dogma that dozens of members have endured criminal prosecution rather than surrender an ailing person to what they see as the quackery of medical science.

Lobbying may be the one remaining recession-proof industry, and as Washington prepares for a summer-long debate over how to reform health care, lobbyists for every conceivable interest group have camped out in congressional anterooms to press their case. There are advocates for doctors, insurance companies, patients, nurses, pharmaceutical companies, big business and small business. And for faith healers too.

The New England chapter of Active Single CS of America (ASCSA) has been dormant for the past year or so. It's time to revive it!
ASCSA held events in the New England area recently with some being national events and some local. From now on, when there is any ASCSA event in the New England vicinity, I will forward any information I receive about it to you, the only exception being the annual Camp Newfound ASCSA event in Maine.
